One of the questions we often receive from our patients is about what to expect during a typical visit at our Keystone Specific Chiropractic Center. So, let’s dive right in to what the upper cervical chiropractic experience looks like!

At Keystone Specific Chiropractic Center, our care process is designed to be comprehensive, effective, and tailored specifically to each individual. We understand that each person’s body and health needs are unique. Therefore, we use a detailed approach to address your specific concerns and health goals.

Pre-Treatment Scans
Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care at Keystone

Your visit begins with a digital infrared scan. This state-of-the-art technology allows us to measure and visualize the thermal distribution along your spine. By doing so, we can identify any areas of nerve interference or inflammation, which often signifies misalignment in the upper cervical spine. This scan is completely non-invasive and pain-free, serving as an effective way to understand your spine’s current state.

Specific Upper Cervical Correction

The next step is a specific upper cervical correction. Our chiropractors have extensive training in upper cervical care, which is a specialized form of chiropractic that focuses on the top two vertebrae of the spine, the atlas, and the axis. Misalignments here can impact the entire nervous system, so precision is critical.

Our corrections are based on postural x-rays. These images allow us to see the exact position of your cervical spine and develop a correction plan that’s tailored specifically to your needs. Every person’s spine is different, so every correction we make is unique. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach, but a personalized method to ensure optimal results.

Post-Correction Rest and Scan

After the correction, you’re invited to rest in our zero gravity recliners for 15 minutes. This period allows your body to adjust to the changes, promotes relaxation, and helps your nervous system start the healing process. Resting after a correction is an essential step to ensure the alignment holds and allows for optimal results.

Before concluding your visit, we perform another digital infrared scan. This post-correction scan helps us evaluate how your body has responded to the treatment. We can observe any immediate changes and determine the next steps in your care.
