Why Advanced Digital X-Rays?

Lateral View Xray of Upper Cervical Spine

As the founder and a practicing chiropractor at Keystone Specific Chiropractic Center , I’ve dedicated much of my career to refining our diagnostic and treatment processes to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients. One of the most significant advancements in our practice has been the integration of advanced digital x-rays, which we utilize right here in our office. This technology is pivotal, especially in our specialization in upper cervical chiropractic care.

Why We Use Digital X-Rays

Understanding the underlying issues in the cervical spine is crucial for effective treatment. The spine’s condition can significantly influence overall health, given its role in the nervous system. Traditional X-rays have been a standard tool in medical diagnostics for decades, but digital X-rays offer enhanced imaging quality and the ability to manipulate images for a more accurate diagnosis.

At Keystone Specific, we take it a step further by focusing on the upper neck, a crucial area that can affect various aspects of physiological health. Using digital X-rays, we can pinpoint the exact location and angle of misalignments, which is essential for creating effective treatment plans.

Our Unique Imaging Techniques

What sets our imaging process apart is not just the technology itself but how we use it. Traditional static X-ray images can only tell us so much. To truly understand how the spine moves and where restrictions might be occurring, we need to see it in motion. That’s why we perform what we call ‘dynamic X-ray analysis.’

During this process, we take images while the patient is in different positions—turning the head, opening the mouth, etc. This approach allows us to see how each vertebra moves and how this movement affects the surrounding tissues and nerves. For instance, by having a patient open their mouth, we can better view the articulation between the jaw and the spine, which is often a missed component in standard assessments.

The Benefits of In-House Imaging

Having digital X-ray capabilities in-house at Keystone Specific offers several advantages:

  • Immediate Results: We can view the images immediately, which means faster diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • High-Quality Images: Digital X-rays provide clearer, more detailed images than traditional X-rays, allowing for a more accurate assessment.
  • Safety: Digital X-rays expose patients to less radiation compared to traditional X-rays.
  • Convenience: Patients appreciate the convenience of not having to visit another location for their X-rays.

Tailored Treatments

By combining our detailed imaging techniques with a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s history and symptoms, we can tailor our treatments very specifically. This bespoke approach ensures that we’re not just treating symptoms but addressing the root cause of health issues.

For current and prospective clients of Keystone Specific, our commitment to integrating the best available technology with expert chiropractic care is part of our promise to you.
